(April 15, 2011) -- As part of the State Highway Administration (SHA) $5.4 million drainage project drainage project, crews will continue the gas line relocation along Isabella Street between Mill and Lake Streets in Salisbury.  SHA will establish a flagging operation to alternate traffic on Isabella Street between Mill Lake streets. 

The work will begin at 7:30 a.m. and should be completed by 4:30 p.m.  SHA appreciates motorists’ patience as the gas line relocation and drainage improvement project progresses in Salisbury.  Citizens with questions regarding the work may call SHA’s District 1 Office at (410) 677-4000 or toll-free at 1-800- 825-4742.

SHA earlier this year began a project to improve drainage along US 13 Business (Salisbury Boulevard) from East Church Street to north of London Avenue in Salisbury.  The gas line relocation is necessary to provide room for the machinery needed to drill and push the drain pipe under the railroad tracks.
