(May 9, 2011)  – The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) is temporarily closing the ramp from northbound York Road (MD 45) to the Baltimore Beltway Outer Loop (I-695 West) for three nights this week, beginning 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 10.  All lanes will be open by 5 a.m. each morning.

During ramp closures, motorists will be directed to travel along northbound York Road past the I-695 interchange to turn left onto Seminary Avenue (MD 131) West, then turn left onto Bellona Avenue South, through the Bellona Avenue/Charles Street roundabout and then onto the ramp to I-695 West/I-83 North.  

The temporary ramp closures will allow SHA’s contractor to grind the top layer of pavement on the ramp to improve traction and enhance motorist safety.  The maintenance work will be complete Friday morning, weather permitting.
