Highway Structures Design and Inspection Guidance - Design Section
The following DESIGN Guidelines and Procedure Memorandums (GPM) have been developed to assist engineers in the design of highway structures (bridges, small structures, noise barriers, etc.) for the State of Maryland. Please note that the guidelines and procedures do not cover all areas of project development. Contact your Office of Structures project manager with any project specific questions
Please note that the Office of Structures is in the process of developing a Structure Design Manual that will replace the GPMs. The anticipated first draft should be available by early 2027 and will be posted in this location.
