(July 31, 2020) - The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) is continuing its work on the MD 450 (Defense Highway) corridor management and drainage improvement project this weekend.

Crews will be working on MD 450 (Defense Highway) near Huntwood Drive tomorrow, Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2, weather permitting. Crews will direct traffic using a flagging operation between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The weekend work will allow crews to continue underground pipe installation and concrete setting.

Customers who have questions about this work may contact the MDOT SHA District 5 Office at 410-841-1000 or toll-free at 1-800-331-5603.

MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers.  Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and, look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes.  Drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.
