Overnight Work Includes Pothole Repairs at Jefferson Street Exit

(July 15, 2021) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will make pavement repairs to northbound US 15 at Jefferson Street in Frederick County starting tonight.

Crews will close one lane on one-half mile of northbound US 15 and the ramp from southbound US 15 to Jefferson Street. Motorists whose destination is Jefferson Street will be detoured to
eastbound MD 180 to northbound US 15. Work hours are as follows:

  • From 9 p.m. Thursday, July 15 to 5 a.m. Friday, July 16.
  • From 9 p.m. Sunday, July 18 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 19.
  • From 9 p.m. Monday, July 19 to 5 a.m. Tuesday, July 20.

MDOT SHA’s contractor, Charles J. Miller, LLC, will use electronic board signs, cones, and barrels to alert motorists about the work zone and lane closures.

MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers.  Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and look for reduced speed limits as well as other driving pattern changes.  Drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.
