Daytime Paving Project in White Marsh Will Continue Through Early May

(April 5, 2022) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will begin a project Thursday, April 7, to improve the driving surface on a section of US 40 (Pulaski Highway) in the White Marsh area of eastern Baltimore County.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays, crews will mill the roadway and add a new layer of asphalt along the section between MD 43 (White Marsh Boulevard) to Reames Road. Completion is expected in early May, weather permitting. During work hours, some temporary lane closures will be required.

MDOT SHA contractor Gray and Son Inc., of Timonium, will perform the work, and will use signs, reflective barrels and electronic arrow boards to alert and guide motorists through the work zone on US 40.

MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers.  Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes. Please drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.

Governor Larry Hogan has declared April as Work Zone Safety Month in Maryland. For more information on Work Zone Safety, visit roads.maryland.gov and click on the work zone safety banner. Also follow MDOT SHA on Twitter @MDSHA and on Facebook at facebook.com/MDOTSHA
