(May 27, 2022) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will open a new left-turn lane on eastbound Padonia Road to northbound I-83 in Timonium, Maryland on Wednesday, June 1.

Additionally, crews will reopen the northbound I-83 ramp that was closed as part of the project to improve the I-83 (Baltimore-Harrisburg Expressway) bridges at the interchange at Padonia Road. The project began summer 2018 and is expected to be complete this summer.

MDOT SHA’s contractor, Milani Construction Inc., of Washington, D.C., is performing the work. More information on the project is available HERE

MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving, and look for reduced speed limits as well as other driving pattern changes. Please drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones. Motorists in need may dial #77 on their mobile device for roadside assistance.
