Motorists Should Expect Single-Lane Closures with Flagging Operation for Approximately Three Days Beginning Tuesday, August 2

(August 1, 2022) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will work this week to pave driveway entrances, shoulders and turn lanes on MD 424 (Davidsonville Road) between MD 214 (Central Avenue) and Rossback Road in Davidsonville.

Starting Tuesday, August 2, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., crews will close one lane and use a flagging operation to direct motorists safely through the work zone. Work will continue for approximately three weekdays, weather permitting. MDOT SHA contractor F. O. Day, of Rockville, is performing the work.

Customers who have questions about this work may contact the MDOT SHA District 5 Office at 410-841-1000 or toll-free at 1-800-331-5603. MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and look for reduced speed limits and other driving pattern changes. Please drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.

Motorists in need may dial #77 on their mobile device for roadside assistance.
