Motorists Should Expect Weekday Single-Lane Closures with Flagging Operations Through Late November

(August 5, 2022) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) has begun a $1.1 million project to patch, mill and resurface pavement along MD 137 (Mt. Carmel Road) between MD 25 (Falls Road) and Cedar Grove Road west of Hereford in Baltimore County.

Work is underway will continue 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, through late November, weather permitting. Motorists should expect single-lane closures during work hours. Crews will use a flagging operation to direct motorists safely through the work zone. MDOT SHA contractor Gray & Son Inc., of Timonium, is performing the work.

Customers who have questions about this project may contact the MDOT SHA District 4 Office – Maintenance Division at 410-229-2300, or toll-free at 1-866-998-0367.

MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and look for reduced speed limits as well as other driving pattern changes. Please drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.

Motorists in need may dial #77 on their mobile device for roadside assistance.
