Motorists Should Expect Daytime and Overnight Single-Lane Closures with Flagging Operations Through Late-November

(August 25, 2022) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will begin work Sunday night, August 28, on a project to patch, mill and resurface MD 136 (Calvary Road) between MD 543 (Creswell Road / Fountain Green Road) and MD 22 (Churchville Road) in Harford County.

Work will take place overnights, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sundays through Friday mornings, as well as 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Motorists should expect single-lane closures during work hours. Contractor crews will use a flagging operation to guide motorists safely through the work zone. The project is expected to be completed in late-November, weather permitting.

MDOT SHA contractor Allan Myers – MD, of Fallston, is performing the work. Customers who have questions about this project may contact the MDOT SHA District 4 Office – Maintenance Division at 410-229-2300, or toll-free at 1-866-998-0367.

MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and look for reduced speed limits as well as other driving pattern changes. Please drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.

Motorists in need may dial #77 on their mobile device for roadside assistance.
