Off-Peak Daytime, Nighttime Single-Lane Closures through Early Summer
(June 16, 2025) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin two road paving projects this month on MD 410 (East West Highway) and MD 191 (Bradley Boulevard) in Montgomery County. The projects will include milling, paving, and restriping the roadways.
The project locations are the following:
- MD 410 (East West Highway) between Carroll Avenue and the Washington D.C. line in Takoma Park. Drivers can expect daytime single-lane closures, Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- MD 191 (Bradley Boulevard) from 6421 Bradley Boulevard to Bradmoor Drive in Bethesda. Drivers can expect nighttime roadwork, Sunday through Thursday, 8 p.m.-5 a.m. A flagging operation will be in effect to guide drivers through the work zone.
Additional hours and lane closures may be necessary to expedite work and maintain project schedules. Weather permitting, all work is expected to be complete by late this summer. The State Highway Administration appreciates the traveling public’s understanding and patience as we complete these projects to improve roadway safety.
The State Highway Administration’s contractor for these resurfacing projects is Francis O. Day Company, Inc., of Rockville. Customers with questions may contact the State Highway Administration District 3 Office at 301-513-7300 or toll-free at 1-800-749-0737.
