​Motorists Can Expect Overnight Single-Lane Closures Through Fall 

(August 7, 2025) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin resurfacing a section of MD 26 (Liberty Road) Randallstown, Baltimore County, as soon as Tuesday night, August 12. The work on one-third mile of MD 26 between the intersections of Pikeswood Drive and Owings Mills Boulevard/Live Oak Road​ will be completed in late October, weather permitting.   

Drivers can expect overnight single-lane closures 8 p.m.-5 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays for patching, milling and resurfacing pavement on this section of MD 26. Contractor crews will use temporary traffic signs and cones to guide motorists through the highway work zone.   

The $352,000 project is part of a $8.4 million State Highway Administration contract to repair, patch, mill and resurface pavements on State highways in western Baltimore County. The contractor is C.J. Miller, LLC of Hampstead.   

The State Highway Administration works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving, and look for reduced speed limits as well as other traffic pattern changes.​
