Drivers Can Expect Two Left Lanes to be Closed Friday Evening through Monday Morning
(November 3, 2025) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will repair sections of concrete pavement in both directions on MD 542 (Loch Raven Boulevard) between Cromwell Bridge Road and Joppa Road in the Towson area of Baltimore County, starting at 9 p.m. Friday, November 7. All lanes will reopen no later than 5 a.m. Monday, November 10, weather permitting.
The work requires crews to saw cut deteriorated sections of concrete, pour new concrete and allow the material to set. Drivers can expect two left lanes closed during the repair in both directions of Loch Raven Boulevard during this entire period. As the concrete sets, motorists may not see workers present in the work zone.
The State Highway Administration’s contractor, Gray & Son Inc., of Timonium, will use signs and barrels to safely guide highway users through the work zone.
This project and other initiatives complement the Serious About Safety program, a department-wide focus to drive the Maryland Department of Transportation's safety goals and save lives.
