Weekday Daytime Single Lane Closures; Drivers Should Plan Extra Driving Time

(January 20, 2026) –The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration is performing emergency drainage work on MD 410 (Veterans Parkway) near MD 450 (Annapolis Road) in Hyattsville. The drainage work will be complete by early spring 2026, weather permitting.

Crews are replacing a collapsed drainage pipe running under MD 410 and performing a nearby roadside slope repair. The work zone extends toward the US 50 ramps. Motorists can expect a 24-hour single lane closure that will vary as work progresses. This closure is necessary for crews to store materials and equipment. During work hours, which are 6 a.m.-6 p.m., drivers can expect single-lane closures on MD 410 in both directions on weekdays. The extended hours are necessary due to expedite the emergency roadwork.
