(January 17, 2013) – The State Highway Administration (SHA) advises mariners that crews will perform a routine inspection of the MD 14 (Rhodesdale Eldorado Road) Bridge over Marshyhope Creek in Brookside, Dorchester County on Monday, January 21 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

A bridge inspection vehicle will be used to safely access areas underneath the bridge.  There will be no impact to motor vehicle traffic.  Although inspection personnel and equipment will be in proximity to the navigable channel, no disruption to marine traffic is anticipated.

If requested, in case of any disruption to marine traffic, personnel and equipment will relocate to allow for passage of any waterborne vessels. SHA advises mariners to use extreme caution when traveling in the area.  If inclement weather prevents the maintenance work, it will be conducted the next day. Marshyhope Creek flows into the Nanticoke River which is a tributary of the Ches-apeake Bay.
