(August 8, 2013) – Northbound I-270 prior to I-70 is temporarily closed by the Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) to remove a damaged overhead sign. The sign was damaged as a result of an early morning crash.

SHA is detouring traffic to eastbound I-70 to the MD 85 (Buckeystown Pike) interchange where travelers can access westbound I-70 to northbound I-270 /US 15.  Motorists are encouraged to use MD 355 (Urbana Pike) as an alternate to northbound I-270.  SHA will reopen the roadway as soon as the sign structure is removed.
