(September 30, 2013) - The Maryland State Police and State Highway Administration, supported by donations from the public and Maryland Department of Transportation headquarters and sister agencies including the Maryland Transit Administration, announce total food collected during Hunger Action Month in September for the Maryland Food Bank:
Halethorpe: 17,207 pounds (13,236 meals)
Salisbury: 9,433 (7,256 meals)
Capital Food Bank: 5,428 (4,523 meals)
Hagerstown: 3,431 (2,859 meals)
Total: 35,499 pounds (29,583 meals)
