(October 1, 2013) – The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) and CSX Railroad advise motorists that MD 85 (Buckeystown Pike) will be closed the weekend of October 12-14 at the railroad crossing south of English Muffin Way in Frederick County for railroad crossing repairs. The closure will begin late Friday evening, October 11, and continue through midday on Columbus Day, Monday, October 14.

 

Detour signs will direct traffic around the closure using English Muffin Way, New Design Road, and Manor Woods Road. Motorists should allow extra travel time or consider alternate routes.

 

The closure will allow CSX to reconstruct the crossing, which is due for repairs because of to its age and condition.
