The Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) will be performing bridge demolition work associated with the I-95 Express Toll Lanes Project this weekend. 

 

Sunday, Oct. 13, through Thursday, Oct. 17, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, all lanes of eastbound Interstate 695 (INNER LOOP) at Interstate 95 (Exit 33) will be completely closed.  Traffic will be detoured off Exit 33 to northbound I-95, to westbound MD 43 (Exit 67B, White Marsh Boulevard), to southbound I-95, to eastbound I-695 (Exit 64).  Click here for the MDTA news release.

 

Allegany County

• On-ramp to westbound I-68 at Lee Street in Cumberland – ramp closed through fall 2014 due to bridge rehabilitation. Click here for details.

Anne Arundel County

• Northbound MD 295 (Baltimore Washington Parkway) between I-695 and the Baltimore County line – Pavement repair – potential lane closures throughout the weekend.  This is also an area that is being resurfaced.  That work will take place Sundays through Thursdays from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

• I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) over I-97 – Routine bridge inspection – On Sunday, October 13 motorists should expect alternating single lane closures on northbound I-97 from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and alternating single lane closures on southbound I-97 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Baltimore County

• Inner loop I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) near MD 702 (Bridge over railroad tracks) – Tree removal and guardrail work – the right lane will close on Sunday, October 13 from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m.

• Southbound I-95 at the Baltimore/Howard County line – Pavement repair – SHA will close two left lanes on Sunday, October 13 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday, October 14.

• Northbound I-95 at I-195 – Pavement repair - SHA will close two left lanes on Sunday. October 13 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday, October 14.

• I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) between MD 122 (Security Boulevard) and MD 26 (Liberty Road) – Resurfacing - Single and double lane closures Sundays through Thursdays from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. Click here for project information.

• Inner loop I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) at MD 372 (Wilkens Avenue) – Bridge replacement project – Sundays through Thursdays - multiple lane closures for paving. Expect one lane closure at 7 p.m., two lane closures at 8 p.m. and triple lane closures at 11 p.m.  All lanes will re-open by 5 a.m. each morning.

• I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) between MD 45 (York Road) and Providence Road – Resurfacing. Single and double lane closures Sundays through Thursdays from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.  Click here for project information.

Cecil County

• US 40 (Pulaski Highway) between Big Elk Creek Bridge and the Delaware State Line – Resurfacing and storm water improvements – single lane closures Sundays through Thursdays from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

Harford County

• Loflin Road at MD 7 (Old Philadelphia Road) - Water line relocation - Temporary road closure is underway. Motorists are being detoured to westbound US 40 (Pulaski Highway).  Click here for more information.

• MD 650 (New Hampshire Avenue) at Sligo Creek Parkway- Bridge deck rehabilitation – possible single and double lane closures on Mondays through Fridays between 5 a.m. and 3 p.m., as well as overnight Sundays through Saturdays from 7 p.m. to  5 a.m. Click here for more information.

• MD 201 (Kenilworth Avenue) between Good Luck Road and I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway) - Resurfacing - alternating northbound left and right single lane and shoulder closures, overnight Sunday through Thursday, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. 

• MD 193 (Greenbelt Road) from Rhode Island Avenue to Southway) - utility work - alternating single and double eastbound lane closures overnights Sunday through Thursday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

• MD 197 (Laurel Bowie Road) between MD 295 (Baltimore Washington Parkway) and Brockbridge Road – Turn lane extension and resurfacing – single lane closures Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.  Single and double lane closures Sundays through Thursday from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m.  Click here for more information.

While SHA and its partners work hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones, each driver needs to actively modify his or her driving style to help prevent crashes.
