(March 3, 2014 – 6 p.m.) - The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) will keep a core team of crews in overnight to manage trouble spots and continue clean up along state routes. While crews have salted roads, there is a high probability that drivers will encounter ice with the frigid temperatures expected. Motorists should use extreme caution.  For tomorrow morning, travelers should again plan ahead for potential delays due to icy conditions.

All travelers should remember the basics of safe driving during winter storm events.  See and be seen – remember to clear off your entire vehicle and use headlights when wipers are engaged.  Take it slow in ice and snow, and anticipate doubling your traveling time.  Please give SHA crews room to safely do their jobs to keep Maryland roadways safe.
Additional driving tips can be found here. Follow local news stations for up to date weather reports.
