(September 4, 2014) – The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) will late tonight close the three left lanes on southbound I-95 (Inner loop of the Capital Beltway) over Good Luck Road, just south of MD 295, in Prince George’s County. The lane closures are needed to repair a bridge joint on the driving surface.

Beginning at 10 p.m. tonight, crews will block two left lanes, and then close the three left lanes at midnight. All lanes will be open no later than 5 a.m. Friday. Motorists are encouraged to use alternate routes and plan for extra commute time during the repair. For the latest traffic conditions, log onto www.md511.org.

While SHA and its partners work hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones, each driver needs to actively modify his or her driving style to help prevent crashes. Stay alert – look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers. Slow down and don't follow too closely. Safer Driving. Safer Work Zones. For everyone!
