Correction - Crews will be working Sundays through Fridays and will close a single lane beginning at 8 p.m. followed by double or triple lane closures at 11 p.m. Lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. each day.

(September 15, 2014) – Beginning Wednesday night September 17, the Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) will begin resurfacing southbound I-95 in the vicinity of the ICC (MD 200) interchange. The work requires several weeks of overnight lane closures on southbound I-95 between north of MD 198 and the ICC interchange.

Sunday through Thursday nights, crews will close a single lane beginning at 8 p.m. followed by double or triple lane closures at 11 p.m. Crews will reopen all lanes by 5 a.m. each day. This work is expected to continue for up to four weeks, weather permitting

Motorists will have access to ramps throughout the duration of this work; however travelers should expect delays and consider using MD 295, US 1 or US 29 as alternate routes.

Motorists are reminded to reduce speeds and be attentive as they drive through the work zone. For more information about the project, please call the ICC Community Outreach staff at 1-866-462-0020. For real-time traffic information, log onto www.md511.org.

While SHA and its partners work hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones, each driver needs to actively modify his or her driving style to help prevent crashes. Stay alert – look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers. Slow down and don't follow too closely. Safer Driving. Safer Work Zones. For Everyone!
