TWO LEFT LANES OF EASTBOUND I-70 BRIDGE AT BALTIMORE / HOWARD COUNTY LINE WILL CLOSE TONIGHT FOR JOINT REPAIR

(July 14, 2015) – The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) will close two left lanes on the eastbound I-70 Bridge over the Patapsco River (at the Baltimore/Howard County line) tonight beginning at 7 p.m. to repair a joint seal. Crews will open all travel lanes no later than 5 a.m. Wednesday.

Motorists are encouraged to use US 40 (Baltimore National Pike) to US 29 (Columbia Pike) as an alternate route. Drivers using eastbound I-70 should plan ahead and allow extra travel time.

The cost of the repair will be between $8,000 and $10,000 and will be performed by PDI Sheetz of Linthicum.
