Motorists Should Plan Extra Commute Time; Consider MD 355 as an Alternate Route

(November 3, 2015) – The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) will repair joints on the southbound I-270 Bridge over MD 124 (Quince Orchard Road/Montgomery Village Avenue) in Gaithersburg tonight.  All lanes should be open no later than 5 a.m. Wednesday.

SHA will begin closing lanes on I-270 at 10 p.m.  By 11 p.m. crews will have three lanes closed beginning one mile south of Middlebrook Road up to the MD 124 overpass. Motorists may use MD 355 (North Frederick Avenue) to MD 124 and back to southbound I-270 as an alternate route.
