Temporary Weekend Ramp Closure Begins Friday, December 11 for Construction Work

(December 10, 2015) – Beginning Friday, December 11, the Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration (SHA) will temporarily close the ramp from the outer loop of I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) to northbound MD 41 (Perring Parkway) for the weekend.

SHA’s contractor, Six-M of Delta, Pa., will close the ramp at 10 p.m. Friday and it will remain closed until 5 a.m. Monday, weather permitting.  Motorists going from the outer loop to northbound MD 41 will be detoured to the ramp to southbound MD 41, through the cloverleaf interchange onto the I-695 inner loop and then immediately from the inner loop to northbound Perring Parkway.

Crews will perform ramp construction work this weekend as part of SHA’s $32 million project to widen I-695 between MD 41 and MD 147 (Harford Road).  In case of inclement weather the ramp work and detour will take place the next possible weekend.
