Major Weekend Lane Closures

Anne Arundel County

• Inner loop of I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) ramp to southbound MD 10 (Arundel Expressway) – Concrete patching – Ramp closure and local detour beginning 5 a.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. Monday.

 

Baltimore County

 

• Southbound MD 147 (Harford Road) ramp to the outer loop of I-695 and the outer loop ramp to southbound MD 147– Pipe crossing as part of interchange reconstruction – Ramp closure and local detour beginning 9 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday.

Montgomery County

• US 29 (Colesville Road) between Spring Street and Fenton Street - Commercial crane operation – Southbound US 29 all lane to be closed and detoured and two lane on northbound US 29 will be blocked between 12:10 a.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. Monday.

Prince George’s County

• MD 337 (Allentown Road) between Suitland Road and Forestville Road – Concrete median repair – Single lane closures Saturday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

• MD 5 (Branch Avenue) between Moores Road and MD 381 (Brandywine Road) – Drainage work – Single lane closures Sundays through Thursdays between 7 p.m. and 5 a.m.

 

Total Closures with Detours

Baltimore County

• MD 147 (Harford Road) at Glen Arm Road/Mt. Vista Road – Roundabout construction – Mt. Vista Road leg of intersection is closed and detoured.  The detour is Sunshine Avenue to US 1 (Belair Road.) 

 

Dorchester County

• Woods Road closed north of MD 16 (Church Creek Road) – Roundabout construction – The detour is US 50 to MD 16. 

 

Montgomery County

• MD 195 (Carroll Avenue) between Jefferson Avenue and Flower Avenue (MD 195 Bridge over Sligo Creek and Parkway) - Bridge rehabilitation – Bridge to closed and traffic detoured for one year. 

 

Wicomico County

 

• MD 349 (Nanticoke Road) Bridge over Windsor Creek - Bridge replacement – Bridge closed and detoured.  Approximately three weeks remaining.

• I-895 (Harbor Tunnel Thruway) Bridge over the Patapsco River (Patapsco Flats) (MDTA project) – Bridge rehabilitation – Reduced lanes. 

 

Carroll County

• Northbound MD 27 (Main Street) at Center Street – Right turn lane installation – Single lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. 

Cecil County

• MD 273 (Telegraph Road) at Appleton Road – Roundabout construction – Single lane closures with a flagging operation 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Frederick County

• US 40 Alternate (Main Street) between Ivy Hill Drive and Middletown Parkway – Streetscape project – Single lane closures with a flagging operation Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

 

Montgomery County

• Inner loop I-495 (Capital Beltway) at exit #30/US 29 (Colesville Road) – Steel repairs on bridge – Double right lane closures, as well as temporary ramp closure to US 29 on February 16, 21 and 22 between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. each subsequent morning.

 

Prince George’s County

• MD 704 (Martin Luther King Jr. Highway) between Hill Road and Greenleaf Road – Resurfacing – Single lane closures Mondays through Saturdays 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. 

Talbot County

• US 50 (Ocean Gateway) between east of Backtown Road and Timberwind Lane – Emergency pipe repair – Weekend median paving to prepare for a bidirectional traffic pattern until late-March. Click here for more information and a diagram of the proposed traffic configuration.

• US 13 (Salisbury Bypass) near the US 50 interchange – Traffic pattern change/bidirectional traffic using median for bridge deck project – Click here for information and schedule of project.
