Motorists Should Follow Signed Detours; Plan Extra Travel Time
(April 18, 2017) – Beginning Sunday, April 23 at 9 p.m., Directional Traffic of Chambersburg, PA will temporarily close the MD 65 (Sharpsburg Pike) ramp to eastbound I-70, weather permitting. Crews will re-open the ramp on Friday, April 28 at 6 a.m. The closure is necessary for crews to install a large drainage pipe under MD 65 as part of a storm water management system associated with a nearby commercial development.
Citizens are asked to follow the posted detour by following northbound MD 65 westbound I-70. Motorists will exit to southbound MD 632 (Downsville Pike) to eastbound I-70.
