Two Locations to be Repaired; Drivers Should Plan for Additional Travel Time

(August 9, 2017) – On August 18th, Maryland Midland Railway will close a section of MD 31 (New Windsor Road) at the railroad crossing in New Windsor for approximately one week, weather permitting. Rail crews will close the crossing on Church Street approximately one week later. The closures and detours are necessary to replace rail crossing pads and resurface the roadway approaches to the rail tracks. 

MD 31 detour: Motorists will be directed to High Street, Church Street, Old New Windsor Road as detours for the rail crossing repairs.

Church Street detour: Motorists will be directed to High Street and MD 31 (New Windsor Road).
