Major Weekend Lane Closures

ALERT – Long-term right lane and shoulder closure on eastbound US 50/US 13 (Salisbury Bypass) prior to the US 13 Business exit for emergency roadwork. Motorists traveling on Friday toward the beach resorts should consider using US 50 Business through Salisbury.

Anne Arundel County

• US 50 on the Severn River Bridge – BGE utility work – Single lane closures Sundays through Thursday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Baltimore County

• Outer loop of I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) ramp (bridge) to eastbound I-70 – Routine bridge inspection – Ramp closure and detour Sunday between 4 a.m. and 12 noon. Motorists to be directed to the MD 122 (Security Boulevard) interchange and use the ramps to access the inner loop of I-695 to eastbound I-70.

• I-95 between US 1 and the Baltimore City/County line – Resurfacing/pavement patching/milling – Single and double lane closures Sundays through Thursday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

• I-695 between I-95 and MD 7 (Philadelphia Road) (MDTA project) – Resurfacing – Single and double lane closures Sundays through Thursday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

 

Baltimore County/ Howard County line

• Eastbound I-70 at the Bridge over the Patapsco River – Routine bridge inspection – Single lane closures Saturday between 4 a.m. and 12 noon.

Howard County

• US 1 (Washington Boulevard) between Meadowridge Road and Kit Kat Road – Resurfacing – Single lane closures Sundays through Friday mornings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. each morning.

 

Montgomery County

• Outer loop of I-495 between Seminary Road and the I-270 spur – Resurfacing project - Single and double lane closures between 9 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday.

 

• Inner and outer loop of I-495 (Capital Beltway) Bridge over MD 185 (Connecticut Avenue) - Bridge cleaning and painting - Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and Sundays through Thursdays between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

 

• MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) at MD 28 (Norbeck Road) – Intersection improvement project/utility relocation - Single lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. and Sundays through Thursdays between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

 

• MD 187 (Old Georgetown Road) at Lincoln Drive – Utility work/private - Single and double lane closures in each direction Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. through September 16.

 

• MD 187 (Old Georgetown Road) between Johnson Avenue and Sonoma Road - Sidewalk ramp construction, utility work and concrete bus pad installations - Single and double lane closures Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. and weekends (for concrete work) Fridays beginning at 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Mondays.

• MD 355 (Rockville Pike) between Wilson Drive and Woodmont Avenue - Montgomery County Crossing Project clearing and curb work - Single and double lane closures in each direction beginning Friday at 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. Monday.

 

• US 29 (Colesville Road) between I-495 (Capital Beltway) and MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) -  WSSC water line replacement project - Single and double lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sundays through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

 

Prince George’s County

 

• Westbound US 50 (John Hanson Highway) between the Anne Arundel County Line and Lottsford Vista Road - Resurfacing – Single, double and triple lane closures Fridays through Mondays between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. and double lane closures Sundays through Thursdays between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.

 

• MD 202 (Landover Road) between US 50 and MD 450 (Annapolis Road) – Resurfacing - Single and double lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and Sundays through Thursdays between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

 

• MD 210 (Indian Head Highway) between I-295/I-495 ramps and Palmer Road - Interchange construction - Single lane closures Sunday nights to Friday mornings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. and Mondays through Saturdays between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

 

• MD 337 (Allentown Road) between Forestville Road and Suitland Road - Storm water infrastructure work -  Single lane closures Mondays through Saturdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and Sundays through Friday mornings between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

 

• Inner and outer loops (north and southbound I-95) of I-95/I-495 (Capital Beltway) between MD 337 (Allentown Road) and MD 4 (Pennsylvania Avenue) – Shoulder construction/Interchange work – Single and double lane closure in each direction Sundays through Fridays from 7 p.m. until to 5:00 a.m.

Baltimore County

 

• MD 147 (Harford Road) at Glen Arm Road/Mt. Vista Road – Roundabout construction –Glen Arm Road is closed and detoured. 

 

Charles County

 

• MD 234 (Budds Creek Road) Bridge over Gilbert Swamp Run – Bridge replacement – Single lane closure guided by a temporary traffic signal until spring 2018.  

 

Dorchester County

 

• MD 14 (Rhodesdale-Eldorado Road) Bridge over Marshyhope Creek (Brookview Bridge) -  Single lane closures and flagging across the bridge from sunrise to sunset.

 

Frederick County

 

• MD 194 (Woodsboro Pike) Bridge over Little Pipe Creek (at the Carroll County line) – Bridge replacement project –Bridge closed until September 4, 2017.

 

Wicomico County

 

• Eastbound US 50/US 13 (Salisbury Bypass) near Northwood Drive (prior to the US 13 Business exit) –Emergency road/culvert repair – Right land and shoulder closure until September.

 

• Southbound US 13 ramp/bridge to the eastbound/southbound Salisbury Bypass – Bridge/ramp rehabilitation – Total closure and detour until early September to expedite the work.

• MD 404 (Queen Anne Highway/Shore Highway) between US 50 (Ocean Gateway) and MD 309 (Starr Road) and MD 480 (Ridgely Road) and the Denton Bypass – Highway widening – Single lane closures with flagging operations possible in each direction of MD 404 12 noon Mondays until 12 noon Fridays. ​

Montgomery County

• MD 28 (Darnestown Road) between MD 124 (Quince Orchard Road) and Argosy Road - Sidewalk construction/part of safety/resurfacing project - Single eastbound lane closures Mondays through Fridays from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

• MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) at Randolph Road - Interchange construction - Single lane closures in both directions of both roads, Mondays through Saturdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and Sundays through Friday mornings between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m.
