(October 25, 2017) – This weekend, the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will close the ramp from northbound I-97 to westbound MD 100 beginning Friday October 27, 2017 at 9 p.m. through Monday October 30, 2017 at 5 a.m. Crews will resurface the ramp and direct drivers using the following  detour:

• Take Exit 15B (MD 176 west),

• Turn right onto MD 162 (Aviation Boulevard),

• Exit onto Cromwell Park Drive and then onto southbound I-97,

• Take Exit 14B (westbound MD 100) to Ellicott City.

Motorists are encouraged to follow detour signs.  Blue Cube Operations, LLC. of Blue Ash, Ohio is SHA’s contractor. SHA may use electronic message boards, construction cones and barrels to direct motorists through the work zone.

As crews work to keep work zones safe, we ask that each driver actively modify his or her driving style to help prevent crashes. Stay alert – look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers. Slow down and don’t follow too closely. Work Zone Safety is in Your Hands.
