Major Weekend Lane Closures

Anne Arundel County

 

• Inner loop I-695 at MD 170 (Camp Meade Road) – Bridge joint work – Double right lane closure starting at 8 p.m. Sunday until 5 a.m. Monday. new

 

• US 50 on the Severn River Bridge – Lane widening project – Single lane closures 7 days a week – Single lane closures 7 p.m. and 5 a.m. (double lanes 11 p.m. until 5 a.m.)

• Inner loop of I-695 at the Curtis Creek Drawbridge – Drawbridge repair – (MDTA project) Inner loop I-695 closed and traffic in two-way operation using the outer loop of I-695 until November 2018.

Montgomery County

• Inner and outer loop of I-495 (Capital Beltway) between MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) and MD 185 (Connecticut Avenue) – Seminary Road bridge rehabilitation project – Occasional single lane closures Sunday nights through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

• MD 355 (Wisconsin Avenue) between Waverly Street and Willow Lane (at 7272 Wisconsin Avenue) - Private /commercial demolition/construction project - Intermittent southbound lane closures with sidewalk closures Mondays through Fridays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. and/or Sunday nights to Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.

• US 29 (Colesville Road) between I-495 (Capital Beltway) and MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) -  WSSC water line replacement project - Single and double lane closures Mondays through Fridays between 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Sundays through Friday mornings between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Single lane closures Saturday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. through the end of February.

 

Prince George’s County

• Northbound I-95 (outer loop of I-495) Bridge over Glenarden Parkway – Bridge deck maintenance - Single, double and triple lane (at 11 p.m.) closures beginning Sunday until late-March. Work will take place Sunday nights through Friday mornings from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.

Long-Term Closures

Carroll County

• MD 30 Business (Main Street) between North Woods Trail and the CSX Railroad tracks – Urban reconstruction project – Single lane closures with a flagging operation Mondays through Saturdays between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. until project completion, fall 2019/winter 2020.

 

Charles County

 

• MD 234 (Budds Creek Road) Bridge over Gilbert Swamp Run – Bridge replacement –Single lane closure guided by a temporary traffic signal until spring.

 

• MD 6 (Charles Street) Bridge over Zekiah Swamp – Bridge deck replacement – Single lane closure guided by a temporary traffic signal until spring.

 

MAJOR Closures for Next Week

 

Baltimore County

• MD 43 (Whitemarsh Boulevard) at Honeygo Boulevard – Traffic signal cabinet replacement – Turn lanes closed at intersection – State police guided U-turns will be in effect Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. MDOT SHA is also increasing green cycle time on MD 43 to improve intersection operations. new

 

Dorchester County

• MD 795 (Maryland Avenue) Drawbridge over Cambridge Creek – Gear replacement and draw span repairs – Total closure and detour starting March 5 for two weeks. Click here for more information -

 

Frederick County

• Southbound I-270 ramp to southbound MD 85 (Buckeystown Pike) – Drain pipe installation/part of interchange reconstruction project – Ramp closure and detour beginning at 10 p.m. Monday until 5 a.m. Tuesday. Detour is SB I-270 to MD 80 (Fingerboard Road) to northbound I-270 and back to MD 85. new

 

Montgomery County

 

• Inner loop of I-495 ramp to southbound MD 650 (New Hampshire Avenue) – Ramp improvement work – Ramp closure and detour will occur Sunday nights until Friday mornings from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m. Motorists to be guided to the I-95/I-495 interchange to access the outer loop of I-495 to southbound MD 650. Work will take place beginning Monday, February 26. new
