Double and Triple Lane Closures Begin at 8 p.m. and 9 p.m.

(April 1, 2022) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will be making overnight bridge deck joint repairs to the northbound I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) Inner Loop bridge over Leeds Avenue in Baltimore County at 8 p.m. tonight, April 1.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area just north of the I-95 interchange in the Arbutus area of southwestern Baltimore County. The work is expected to complete by the morning of Saturday, April 2.

Tonight, a contractor crew will begin repairing traverse bridge joints across multiple lanes of the bridge. This will require a double lane closure at 8 p.m. and a triple lane closure at 9 p.m.

Motorists are advised to plan for extra travel time tonight while traveling on northbound I-695 in Arbutus and to use alternate routes if possible.

MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers.  Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes.  Drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.

Motorists in need may dial #77 on their mobile device for roadside assistance.
