Motorists Can Expect Weekday Lane Closures, Flagging Operations Through Late October

(September 11, 2025) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin a highway pavement maintenance project on MD 25 (Falls Road) in northern Baltimore County as soon as Monday, September 15.

Contractor crews will patch sections of pavement where needed along 3.6 miles of MD 25 between MD 137 (Mount Carmel Road) and Beckleysville Road.

During work hours, motorists can expect single-lane closures with flagging operations to control two-way traffic on MD 25 at any time between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays. Crews and flaggers will use temporary traffic signs and cones to guide motorists through the work zone.

The $352,000 pavement maintenance project is part of a $7.9 million State Highway Administration contract to improve pavement conditions and safety on State highways in Baltimore County. The contractor is C.J. Miller, LLC of Hampstead. Weather permitting, the paving work will be completed in late October.
