Expect Overnight Lane Closures, Flagging Operations Through Late September
(September 11, 2025) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin a pavement improvement project on MD 7 between the Baltimore County Line at the Little Gunpowder Falls and MD 152 (Mountain Road) in eastern Harford County as soon as Sunday night, September 14. The project should be completed by late September, weather permitting.
During work hours, motorists can expect overnight single-lane closures between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., Sundays through Thursdays. Drivers can expect single-lane closures guided by a flagging operation. The State Highway Administration’s contractor, Allan Myers MD, Inc. of Fallston will use temporary traffic signs and cones to guide motorists through the work zone.
The $170,000 pavement maintenance project is part of a $7.9 million State Highway Administration contract to improve pavement conditions and safety on State highways in Harford County.
