The Deputy Administrator for Operations – Hanover (DAOH) oversees the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) offices located in the Hanover Complex, while supporting the MDOT SHA’s 17,000 lane miles as they relate to the following:

• construction
• maintenance
• emergency response
• congestion management
• Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
• highway/traffic safety areas
• commercial motor carrier
• traffic engineering

Additionally, the DAOH oversees the recently opened Asset Management Office (AMO).
