(March 19, 2021) The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will temporarily close two lanes of the I-495/I-95 (Capital Beltway) Outer Loop tonight for restriping work. Starting at 9 p.m., crews will be restriping the Beltway between Ritchie Marlboro Road and the Metro overpass. The work is expected to be complete by 5 a.m.

The work is part of the replacement of the I-95/I-495 bridges over Central Avenue. Learn more about the project HERE.

MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers.  Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and, look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes.  Drive like you work here and slowdown in construction zones.
