AASHTOWare Project

AASHTOWare is the Cooperative Computer Software Development Program of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO). AASHTOWare Project (formerly TRNS*PORT) is a trade name for a series of construction management products currently maintained by Info Tech, Inc., located in Gainesville, Florida.

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) currently utilizes four of the available modules: Preconstruction, Bids,  Construction Administration System (CAS) and Decision Support System (DSS). MDOT SHA  also uses Estimator to assist the Design Engineers and Consultants.

AASHTOWare helps MDOT SHA address all construction contract phases from the initial engineer’s estimate through awards, contractor payments, and, finally, to a database of historical contract data for bid monitoring and vendor analysis.

Because AASHTOWare is used nationwide, its use enhances communication between MDOT SHA and other states.
