| Size Restrictions and Alternate Routes

| 100k Containerized Cargo Permits--State Highway Administration, Baltimore City DOT and the Port of Baltimore are providing a Special Hauling permit for containerized cargo up to and including 100k with 6 axles, following all containerized cargo regulations available temporarily free of charge. | Permitted loads
WILL NOT be routed through the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel or the Fort McHenry Tunnel. These are unauthorized route for loads. Contact the permit office if assistance is needed haulingpermits@mdot.maryland.gov or 1-800-543-4564.

| Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR) govern the transport of hazardous materials across our toll facilities. Under these regulations, vehicles carrying bottled propane gas in excess of 10 pounds per container (maximum of 10 containers), bulk gasoline, explosives, significant amounts of radioactive materials, and other hazardous materials are prohibited from using the Fort McHenry Tunnel (I-95) or the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel (I-895). Drivers should use the western section of I-695 around tunnels.
