Motorists Can Expect Weekday Lane Closures with Flagging Through Wednesday
(November 3, 2025) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration is working to improve vehicle traction and motorist safety on MD 145 (Ashland Road/Paper Mill Road) in Baltimore County. All work will be completed by Wednesday, November 5, weather permitting.
Starting today, November 3, crews are applying an epoxy high friction surface treatment on portions of asphalt pavement on MD 145 (Ashland Road/Paper Mill Road) in Baltimore County. Similar work on US 1 Business (Conowingo Road) in Harford County was completed on Friday, October 31.
Crews are working on the following dates and times (weather permitting):
Monday, November 3, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Tuesday, November 4, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Wednesday, November 5, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
During work hours, motorists can expect single-lane closures with flagging operations to control two-way traffic on MD 145. Crews and flaggers will use temporary traffic signs and cones to guide motorists through the work zone.
The work is part of a $1.7 million State Highway Administration statewide contract to enhance safety on State highways. The contractor is Titan Industrial Services, Inc. of Baltimore.
This project and other initiatives, complement the Serious About Safety program, a department-wide focus to drive the Maryland Department of Transportation's safety goals and save lives.
