Extension and Modification of Expanded Emergency Declaration No. 2020-002 Under 49 C​FR § 390.25

Emergency Declarations, Waivers, Exemptions, and Permits

FMCSA has released an update to Emergency Declaration 2020-002 which will become effective at 1200 A.M. September 15, 2020 and will remain in effect until 11:59 P.M. on December 31,2020. The current Emergency Declaration provides for four categories for relief and has not changed, the four categories that will continue to receive emergency relief are as follows: 

(1) livestock and livestock feed; 

(2) medical supplies and equipment related to the testing, diagnosis, and treatment of COVID-19; and

(3) supplies and equipment necessary for community safety, sanitation, and prevention of community transmission of COVID-19 such as masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, soap, disinfectants, AND:

(4food, paper products, and other groceries for emergency restocking of distribution centers or stores. 

Direct assistance does NOT include routine commercial deliveries, including mixed loads with a nominal quantity of qualifying emergency relief added to obtain the benefits of this emergency declaration.  Again, the implementation of the updated Emergency Declaration takes effect on 12:00am on September 15, 2020.  Please review the links below for the extension of the expanded Emergency Declaration.
