Project Portal Provides Information on Major Road Improvement Projects
(February 18, 2019) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) today launched a redesigned user-friendly website, www.roads.maryland.gov, that makes it easier to find information on snow removal, traffic conditions, public meeting dates, construction project updates and traffic alerts.

“We have redesigned our website to be more mobile user friendly and allow our customers to quickly find needed information,” said Acting MDOT SHA Administrator Tim Smith. “We are modernizing this agency so that Maryland citizens can access our data and services when they need it.”

MDOT SHA’s “Project Portal” feature provides access to ongoing major construction projects across the state, with interactive maps, timelines and public meeting dates. Visitors can access our STORM mobile application with one tap and access live camera feeds. The new homepage also features quick access to our customer service portal, the Customer Care Management System, to report issues.

The newly improved website includes simple navigation and a clean look designed to improve the user experience online that is streamlined to an ever-increasing audience accessing services using mobile devices. Finding information about local MDOT SHA district offices and maintenance shops, which provide services like pothole repairs, is easier than ever.
