(July 20, 2021) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will begin work this week on pavement repairs to southbound US 15 between Monocacy Boulevard/Christopher Crossing and MD 26 (Liberty Road) in Frederick County.

Crews will close one lane of traffic from 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, through 5 a.m. Thursday, July 22, along one mile of southbound US 15. The surface improvements will continue with the following additional closures:

  • 8 p.m. Thursday, July 22, to 5 a.m. Friday, July 23; and
  • 8 p.m. Sunday, July 25 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 26.

MDOT SHA’s contractor, Charles J. Miller LLC, will use electronic board signs, cones and barrels to alert motorists about the work zone and lane closures.

MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and, look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes. Please drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones. Motorists can dial #77 on their mobile device for roadside assistance.
