Crews Will Work Overnight through Wednesday Morning

(October 15, 2021) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will clear roadside drains along the I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) shoulders in Anne Arundel County on Tuesday, October 19. Crews will start working at 9 p.m. with work expected to be completed by 5 a.m. Wednesday. All work is weather permitting.

During the overnight work hours, crews will use a mobile operation to work along the I-695 northbound and southbound left shoulders between MD 170 and Hollins Ferry Road. This will require a single left lane closure on the inner and outer loops of I-695. Drivers should remain alert for equipment, work crews and changing traffic patterns.

Customers who have questions about this work may contact the MDOT SHA District 5 at 410-841-1000 or toll-free at 1-800-331-5603.

MDOT SHA works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving and look for reduced speed limits. Please drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones. Motorists can dial #77 on their mobile device for roadside assistance.
