(June 9, 2023) – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin work at 8 a.m. Monday, June 12, to install protective shielding under the I-195 (Metropolitan Boulevard) bridge over CSX Transportation (CSXT) in the Halethorpe area of Baltimore County. The project is part of efforts to assess maintenance and repair needs.

During the work, a single right lane closure will be in place weekdays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., on northbound I-195 from south of US 1 (Washington Boulevard) to north of the bridge. Weather permitting, the work will be complete Friday, June 23. The ramp from southbound and northbound US 1 to northbound I-195 will remain open but will be narrowed, with reflective barrels placed in the work zone.

PDI-Sheetz Construction Corp., of Linthicum Heights, will perform the work.
