Major Weekend Lane Closures

Anne Arundel County

• Ridge Road Bridge over MD-295 (Baltimore-Washington Parkway) – Routine bridge inspection – Single lane closure on southbound MD 295 Sunday between 4 a.m. and 12 noon.

• Outer loop of I-695 (Baltimore Beltway) ramp northbound MD 170 (Camp Meade Road) – Concrete patching – Ramp closure and local detour beginning 6 a.m. Saturday until 5 a.m. Monday.

Baltimore County

• MD 131 (Seminary Avenue) Bridge over I-83 (Baltimore-Harrisburg Expressway – Routine bridge inspection – Single lane closures in both directions of I-83 Sunday between 4 a.m. and 12 noon.

Montgomery County

• MD 355 (Rockville Pike) Bridge over the outer loop of I-495 (Capital Beltway) - Routine bridge inspection – Double lane closures on the outer loop of I-495 Sunday between 4 a.m. and 12 noon.

Prince George’s County

• Northbound I-95 (outer loop of I-495/Capital Beltway) Bridge over Rhode Island Avenue -  Bridge deck repairs - Single and double left and right lane closures between MD 201 (Kenilworth Avenue) and US 1 (Baltimore Avenue) Sunday through Thursday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

• MD 212 (Riggs Road) Bridge over the outer loop I-495 (just west of the I-95 interchange) - Routine bridge inspection – Single lane closure on the outer loop of I-495 Sunday between 4 a.m. and 12 noon.

Total Closures with Detours

Baltimore County

• MD 147 (Harford Road) at Glen Arm Road/Mt. Vista Road – Roundabout construction – Mt. Vista Road leg of intersection is closed and detoured.  The detour is Sunshine Avenue to US 1 (Belair Road.) 

Dorchester County

• Eastbound MD 16 (Church Creek Road) to close at Woods Road. Woods Road closed south of MD 16 (Church Creek Road) – Roundabout construction – The detour is US 50 to MD 16.  Click here for more information.

Montgomery County

• MD 195 (Carroll Avenue) between Jefferson Avenue and Flower Avenue (MD 195 Bridge over Sligo Creek and Parkway) - Bridge rehabilitation – Bridge to closed and traffic detoured for one year. 

Queen Anne’s County

• MD 18 (Main Street) Drawbridge over Kent Narrows – Routine metal repairs – Bridge is closed and detoured for one month – should open by beginning of April.  US 50 is detour.

• I-895 (Harbor Tunnel Thruway) Bridge over the Patapsco River (Patapsco Flats) (MDTA project) – Bridge rehabilitation – Reduced lanes. 

 

Carroll County

 

Howard County

• US 29 (Columbia Pike) at MD 32 and Broken Land Parkway – Highway lighting/safety – Single lane closures Monday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

 

Montgomery County

 

• MD 190 (River Road) at Braeburn Parkway – Setting overhead beacon steel – Single lane closures in each direction Monday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

• Inner loop of I-495 between MD 355 (Wisconsin Avenue) and MD 97 (Georgia Avenue) – Paving operations – Triple lane closures on the inner loop of I-495 and the ramp from southbound MD 185 (Connecticut Avenue) to the inner loop I-495 beginning 10 p.m. Friday (3/24) until 5 a.m. Monday (3/27).  

Queen Anne’s County

 

• US 301 (Blue Star Memorial Highway) at MD 304 (Ruthsburg Road) – Setting structural steel for new interchange – Single lane closures and temporary total, brief stoppages Monday through Fridays between  9 p.m. and 5 a.m. through late-March.

Talbot County

• US 50 (Ocean Gateway) between east of Backtown Road and Timberwind Lane – Emergency pipe repair – Traffic switch to a bidirectional traffic pattern until late-March.  Click here for more information and a diagram of the proposed traffic configuration.

 

Washington County

 

• I-81 between the bridge over the Potomac River and MD 63/MD 68 (Lappans Road) – Highway widening and bridge rehabilitation project– Single left lane closures between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sundays through Fridays.

 

Wicomico County

 

• Southbound US 13 ramp to southbound 13/eastbound US 50 (Salisbury Bypass) - Bridge rehabilitation project– Traffic pattern change/bidirectional traffic using median for bridge deck project.
