​Overnight Work will Require Road Closures and Detours in Berlin

(November 29, 2021) –The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (MDOT SHA) will install a new 10” water main on MD 376 (Bay Street) at the intersection with US 113 (Worcester Highway) and Bottle Branch Road in Worcester County tonight, November 29.

To perform the installation, crews will close MD 376 (Bay Street) at US 113 (Worcester Highway) starting 7 p.m. tonight. Motorists can take the following posted detour around the closure:

  • Left on Harrison Road.
  • Right on Trappe Road.
  • Right on Germantown Road.
  • Take Germantown Road to US 113.

The detour will remain in effect 24/7 through 5 p.m. Thursday, December 2, while crews perform this installation.

MDOT SHA works to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews and our customers. Drivers are reminded to stay alert, focus on driving and look for reduced speed limits, as well as other driving pattern changes. Please drive like you work here and slow down in construction zones.
